August is National Golf Month! Whether you’re an avid golfer or are interested in a new way to get the family out for some fresh air and exercise, golf is a sport that anyone of any skill can enjoy. Colchester County is lucky to be home to a wide variety of golf courses and we want to share two of our favourites with you.
Truro Golf & Country Club
The Truro Golf Club is celebrating 120 years of golf this year. They have an established reputation as a full-service golf facility, and they would love to welcome all guests to come and enjoy the course!
Nestled right in the Town of Truro, this hidden gem is known as “The Jewel of the Hub”! The semi-private 18 hole course enjoys many summer visitors who return year after year.
There is a fully stocked Golf Shop on-site, with clothing and equipment for both ladies and men. Forty power carts that are available by request for your round. Don’t have clubs, don’t you worry, available for rent are premium rental clubs. The driving range, chipping, and putting green are also open to the public.
Mastodon Ridge Mini Putt
The next golf experience is not what you usually think of when someone says “I golf”. However, mini putt is almost everyone’s first experience with golfing and always a lot of fun!
Everyone should celebrate golf month and Mastodon Ridge Mini Golf makes the sport accessible and entertaining for everyone. It’s challenging, charming, and as laid-back or competitive as you want it to be.
Mini Golf shares many of the same qualities as traditional golf but provides an experience that is more accessible to folks of any age, skill and ability. Located at Mastodon Ridge in Stewiacke, this mini golf course is right next to a fun fort, an ice cream shop, fast food restaurants and a distillery.
