Join Upcycling Textile Artist, and owner of Saving Earth Art Space, Penny Lighthall, to learn about various types of upcycling art. You can do your part for the planet by Turning Broken into Beautiful. These classes will be much more than using toilet paper rolls with paint and dry macaroni.
Explore the use of reclaimed textiles, plastic, metal, glass, paper, cardboard, and just about anything else to create beautiful pieces of art that people would spend money on to purchase. This is your chance to feel that you can and have made a difference in the world around you. “Be the change you want the world to be”. Meet other youth that feel as you do and create together.
Who: Youth between the ages of 12 and 15
When: Thursday, August 13, 20, and 27
Time: 1pm to 3pm
Where: Pavilion at the Kiwanis Park/Duck Pond in Truro
Fee: $37.50 payable by e-transfer
