Invitation to Rest

It has been such a time of grief. We would like to extend a loving invitation to Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour, Queer Trans BIPOC at the heart of our struggles right now. Having had several conversations with BIPOC folks at this time, we’re hearing that people are raw, exhausted, and grieving. We appreciate that BIPOC activists and Elders have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic. You are on the front lines of rapid response actions, organizing and holding healing space for your communities. We’re mindful that you also do a lot of educating others while navigating systemic racism and trauma. We invite you to come to Tatamagouche Centre where we’ll feed you and give you a beautiful place to rest at no cost. We want you to know that we’re with you.
